Del Monte Prune and Orange Salad

Del Monte Prune & Orange Salad is an easy and refreshing way to enjoy the goodness of Prunes. This quick salad can be served for a light meal or snack. This recipe uses spinach and lettuce but you can add any greens of choice.Del Monte prunes are a delicious, nutrient rich treat for your entire family. With fibre and potassium, it makes for a quality snack on its own or in any of your favourite recipes. 


1/2 cup Del Monte Prunes pitted, halved
8-9 orange segments, skin and pith removed
1 small onion, sliced
8-10 spinach leaves
4-5 lettuce leaves, torn
1 1/2 TBSP Del Monte olive oil
1 1/2 TBSP honey
1 TBSP grated ginger
1 TBSP black pepper powder
3 TBSP orange juice
1 TBSP orange zest
- Salt To Taste


  1. In a small mixing bowl or a small glass jar whisk together the ingredients under ‘For the dressing’.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add prunes, orange segments, onion, spinach, lettuce leaves.
  3. Add the dressing (as required) and toss together all the ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately.
