Need a quick bite that’s light on your stomach and tasty too? Let this refreshing salad be your saviour. The easy-to-make Del Monte Farfalle Pasta blends perfectly with the juicy orange. Because of the pasta’s pretty bow-tie shape, this dish is a feast for the eyes too!
Ingredients
1 | small onion (sliced) |
4-5 | lettuce leaves (torn) |
½ | lime (juiced) |
7-8 | Orange Segments |
2 | cup Del Monte Farfalle Pasta |
1/2 | cup mix Capsicum Of All Colours (Sliced) |
2-3 | TBSP Sunflower/Melon Seeds (Optional) |
1-2 | TBSP Del Monte Olive Oil |
1 | TBSP Honey |
1 | TBSP Red Chilli Flakes |
- | some Fresh Herbs For Garnish (Mint, Basil Etc) |
- | Salt To Taste |
Method
- The star makes a grand entry right at the start. Boil the Del Monte Farfalle Pasta till it is al dente and keep it aside.
- When that’s done, move on to the dressing. Whisk together the honey, lime juice, chilli flakes, and olive oil. Don’t forget to add a pinch of salt too.
- Time for the big guys. Grab a large mixing bowl and add pasta, orange segments, onion, capsicum slices and lettuce leaves. For those thinking to detox, the more greens, the merrier!
- Add the dressing (as required) and toss all the ingredients until they are nicely mixed. Garnish with herbs and sunflower or melon seeds (if using).
Let the various flavours pamper your taste buds!
