PAN FRIED SESAME CHILLI TOFU 

This lovely little delicacy is best enjoyed with chopped onions, vinegar, sesame seeds and red chilli sauce. It is best enjoyed hot and spicy.

Ingredients

150 Gram Tofu(Diced)
2 TBSP Cooking Oil
2 TBSP Soya Sauce
2 TBSP Corn Flour
1 TBSP Honey
2 Gram Sesame Seed
5 Gram Spring Onion (Chopped)
1 TBSP Del Monte Brewed Vinegar
1/2 TBSP Del Monte Red Chilli Sauce
1/2 TBSP Del Monte Green Chilli Sauce
- Water To Mix
- Salt And Pepper To Taste

Method


  1. Drain the tofu, slice in half then into cubes and place into a large bowl. Sprinkle cornstarch on the  top and gently toss with your hand  to ensure all tofu pieces are covered.
  2. Heat oil in a wok, add the tofu and let it be browned on all sides.
  3. In the meantime, whisk together soya sauce,honey,water for the sauce.
  4. Once the tofu has browned and crisped up on all sides, add the sauce to the wok and it should start to thicken immediately.
  5. Toss the tofu around to coat then remove from heat.Garnish with chopped spring onion and sesame seed.

Enjoy your meal!

Chef's Tips: Remove excess water from tofu to get a better taste.

Variations: You can use Del Monte Schezwan Sauce and Red Chilli Sauce  for a spicy version.
