PINEAPPLE BASIL GRANITA 

Make this delicious summer treat, pineapple basil granita with Del Monte pineapple slices, fresh basil leaves, water, vanilla, and lemon juice.

QUANTITY INGREDIENT
836 Grams Pineapple Slices
3 Cups Water
2 TBSP Sugar
1/2 Cup Fresh Basil Leaves
1 TBSP Vanilla
1/2 Cup Lime Juice

Method


  1. Add pineapple slices, water and sugar to a saucepan. Bring it to a boil, and then simmer for 15-20 minutes till the pineapple slices are soft.
  2. Add basil leaves and mix.
  3. Switch off the flame and use an immersion blender to blend till smooth.
  4. Pour into a freezer friendly container and freeze for up to 8 hours.
  5. Remove the container from the freezer, and use a fork to scrape off the ice. Keep scraping till all the granita is scraped off and resembles tiny bits of frozen ice.
  6. Scoop and serve immediately.
