TOMATO AND BASIL SPAGHETTI WITH PASTA SAUCE
Make this delicious pasta dish with Del Monte Spaghetti, Del Monte tomato, basil pasta sauce, Del Monte extra virgin olive oil, and Italian seasoning. Serve this tasty pasta for a family dinner with freshly grated parmesan cheese.

Cup boiled pasta water |
Method
- Cook spaghetti as per packed instruction in salted water in a large saucepan. Once cooked as per your preference, drain in a colander.
- Rinse with cold water and toss gently in a teaspoon of olive oil. Reserve 1 Cup of boiled pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in a pan. Add pasta sauce and cook for a minute. Add the boiled spaghetti, salt and seasoning.
- Toss spaghetti in the sauce so that it gets coated nicely. Add 1/2 Cup of reserved boiled pasta water and stir to combine.
- Cover the pan with the lid and cook for 5 minutes for spaghetti to absorb the sauce. Open the lid, add fresh basil leaves and olives. Pack for the school lunchbox.
