spirali with spinach and pesto 

Make this delicious spirali pasta recipe in a fresh spinach and walnut pesto. The spinach walnut pesto is made with fresh spinach, lemon juice, walnut, parmesan cheese, Del Monte extra-virgin olive oil, and pepper.


3 Cups, Fusilli
1/3 Cup, Walnut
1/2 Cup, Blanched Spinach
3 Small Garlic Cloves
3-4 TBSP Olive Oil
1 TBSP Lemon Juice
3-4 Basil Leaves
- Grated Cheddar Cheese As Required.
- salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook fusilli as per the packet instructions.
  2. In a blender, add walnut and garlic.  Pulse it 2 to 3 times so that the walnut and garlic break down into a coarse mixture. 
  3. Add olive oil, lemon juice, basil leaves, spinach, salt and pepper to the blender.  Blend it to make a paste.
  4. In a bowl, combine grated cheddar cheese, prepared pesto and cooked fusilli.  Toss very well. 
  5. Dish out in a serving bowl, top it with some more grated cheese and serve warm.
