Mini Spaghetti Pies
In the mood for spaghetti, but not an elaborate dish? These pies are perfect for the lunch box, starters, and picnics. Use Del Monte Whole Wheat Spaghetti, made of whole-grain durum wheat, for a healthy yet tasty snack.
Del Monte Whole Wheat Spaghetti
eggs (whisked)
carrot (grated)
sweet corn kernels
green peas (blanched & drained)
onion (chopped)
paneer (grated/crumbled)
Butter
pizza seasoning
Cheddar/Mozzarella cheese (grated)
fresh herbs like basil, parsley for garnish (optional)
salt to taste
- Preheat the oven at 200C.
- Grab a muffin pan and grease it lightly with butter.
- Meanwhile, cook the scrumptious Del Monte Whole Wheat Spaghetti according to package instructions and completely drain out the water. Allow it to cool completely.
- Now that the pasta is ready, stir together the onion, vegetables, paneer, butter, pizza seasoning, salt and butter in a bowl, preparing the dry mixture.
- In another bowl, toss the spaghetti in the whisked eggs to properly coat them.
- Time for the most exciting step - making the pies! Spoon a portion of the spaghetti into the muffin cavity.
- Press the bottom and sides with the back of a spoon to make spaghetti nests.
- Fill about 1 tablespoon of the vegetable mixture into it (quantity may change depending on the muffin pan size).
- Generously sprinkle cheese over each filled nest.Bake for about 18-20 minutes, till the nests hold shape and cheese melts (timing may vary depending on the potato size and oven efficiency).
- Serve hot garnished with herbs and topped with pizza sauce.
