Pineapple Halwa
Blend of zesty pineapples with a sweet flavour of celebration in every bite! Warm, cozy notes of ghee and saffron bursting with the juiciest pineapples make for a fancy delish dessert.
can of Del Monte pineapple tidbits
ghee
Cup Rava (Sooji)
Few strands of Saffron
Cup Hot Water
Cup Sugar
Chopped Pistachios
Chopped Almonds
- Drain the liquid of Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits. Puree half of the tidbits and keep the remaining tidbits aside.
- In a saucepan on medium heat, add ghee, rava and saffron strands. Stir constantly while roasting rava till it gets a slightly brown colour. It takes about 8 minutes.
- Add the chopped and pureed pineapple tidbits and continue cooking.
- Add the hot water and sugar and keep stirring. Cook for 2 more minutes or until the rava has absorbed all the water.
- Turn off the flame and add chopped pistachios and almonds.
